I believe therapy works best when it addresses the mind, body, and soul. Since many of our experiences are felt throughout the body, sometimes words are not adequate to fully heal. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor I am a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist which means I have special training in combining verbal counseling with expressive arts such as sand tray, dance/movement, art, drama, guided visualizations, imagery, and exploring archetypes. No matter what approach we choose in our work together, my goal is to make the experience safe and comfortable for you.

I frequently help clients dealing with the following issues:

• Family issues

I work with adolescents 12 and older, adults and families. In my work with teens, I often help those who are struggling to find their identity, have successful peer relationships, or explore gender and/or orientation concerns. My clients typically see improvements in their learning and communication skills, family relationships and self-esteem.

I have a Master’s of Arts in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling Psychology from Antioch University and received my Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing and Finance from New York University.

I am currently credentialed with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and some forms of Medicaid. For other insurance plans, i am considered out-of-network, but for those clients wishing to use their out-of-network benefits, many times direct reimbursement to you is possible; contact our administrative staff to find out exactly what your mental health coverage is. For your convenience, our staff will submit all of the insurance claims electronically.
